Ongoing Emergency Food Assistance
Provider: CHRISTIAN OUTREACH IN ACTION
The program provides emergency food primarily for people who live in Long Beach. Services include ongoing emergency food assistance, a weekday soup kitchen, diapers, and pet food. There are no geographic restrictions.
Ongoing food assistance consists of grocery items and USDA surplus food; service and intake are done four days per week. The agency also provides groceries for seniors 55 and older one day per week.
The soup kitchen provides breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Diapers are available one day per week.
The pet food available is for dogs and cats. The pet food is available one day per week.
