Adult Probation

The agency provides correctional programs for adult offenders who have been placed by the Court in Los Angeles County. Services include adult probation and evidence collection services for adults. There are no geographic restrictions.
The agency investigates adults who have committed crimes and violated sections of the Welfare and Institutions Code. It also makes recommendations to the Courts related to the disposition of adult cases; and provides supervision and rehabilitation services for adult probationers.
The Department also administers the Pretrial Bail Deviation and Own Recognizance programs for adults.
