Medical Care Expense Assistance (Leukemia)
Provider: LEUKEMIA AND LYMPHOMA SOCIETY - GREATER LOS ANGELES CHAPTER
The program provides supplementary financial assistance to people of all ages in Los Angeles County who have leukemia, lymphoma, myeloma and other blood-related cancers. This chapter also serves the counties of Ventura, San Luis Obispo, and Santa Barbara. There are no geographic restrictions.
Aid may be provided up to $500 per fiscal year for outpatient medical care. Funds are available following treatment. Receipts are required. Treatments and other needs that may be covered include drug costs; blood processing fees related to transfusions; transportation for treatment charges; and radiation therapy.
