Court Ordered Parenting Programs

The agency provides mental health services for children and youth who are living with their family or in foster care who live in Highland Park and the Antelope Valley area. Services include individual counseling, group counseling, family counseling, court ordered parenting programs and parenting skills classes. There are geographic restrictions.

The Community Mental Health Clinic provides outpatient mental health services for children and youth who have Medi-Cal. Parents are included in the development of the treatment plan. Individual counseling is used to treat the effects of trauma, problems in social relationships and family problems.

Parenting skills classes are provided for both self-referred and court-ordered individuals. The Parenting classes run 10 weeks; staff will provide progress reports to the court. Graduates receive certificates of completion at the end. This is a bi-annual class. The class focuses on difficult children and is both a prevention and intervention program.
