Non-Emergency Medical Transportation

The agency provides transportation services to Paramount residents, including older adults age 55 and older and individuals with disabilities. Services include local bus services, disability related transportation, senior ride programs, and medical appointments transportation. Services are restricted to the city of Paramount.
Local bus services include Paramount's Easy Rider Shuttle. The shuttle will transport residents along a fixed route throughout town, hitting prominent spots like Wal-Mart, Paramount High School and City parks.
Disability related transportation and senior ride programs include Paramount's Dial-A-Ride program. This is a door to door, demand response service. Individuals must call 48 hours in advance to schedule an appointment.
Medical appointments transportation programs include Paramount's medical taxi program. The program is designed to help seniors ages 55 years and older and disabled residents make their medical and dental appointments to out-of-town medical centers (within an approximate 5-mile radius).

Fees
There are fixed fees for services. Easy Ride Shuttle and Dial-A-Ride services are $1.00 per ride with children under the age of six riding for free. The Medical Taxi Program is $2.00 per ride with a limit of 20 rides per month.
