Geographic restrictions apply for some services; business-related services are provided only for businesses located in Signal Hill.

Application Procedure
Call or walk in for information or service or to apply for a business license. Applications must be approved by the Community Development Department. Additional permits may be required.
Fees
There are fees for most services. The fee for a business license is outlined in SHMC 5.04, but is usually $40 per year plus $2 per employee if over 2 employees; there is a $53 processing fee and a one time $50 zoning check fee for new business locating in the city. Other fees apply for additional permits.
