The District Attorney's Office provides law enforcement by prosecuting felony cases in all unincorporated areas and cities throughout Los Angeles County. The office also prosecutes misdemeanor crimes in unincorporated areas of the County and in 78 out of 88 cities; the cities of Burbank, Hawthorne, Hermosa Beach, Inglewood, Long Beach, Los Angeles, Pasadena, Redondo Beach, Santa Monica and Torrance prosecute their own misdemeanor crimes.
