Palisades Fire

  • Size: 23,713 acres
  • Containment: 13%
  • This fire is burning in rugged terrain near the Pacific Palisades and has prompted widespread evacuations in the area.

Evacuation Orders

🚨 Evacuation Map:

Mandatory evacuation orders are in effect for these areas:

  • Palisades Fire:
    📍 Latest Fire Order Information.  

  • Mandeville Canyon to the West, 405 Frwy to the East, Encino Reservoir to the north, Sunset Blvd. to the South
  • North of Mulholland Road, East to Kenter Rd, South to PCH
  • All areas north of Montana Avenue from the beach to 11th Street. Residents in this area must leave IMMEDIATELY and the area is closed to public access. 
  • EVACUATION WARNING remains for all additional areas north of Montana Avenue and this WARNING is now expanded to all areas north of Wilshire Boulevard and west of 10th Street. Residents in this area should gather essentials and prepare to leave if needed. 

Curfew

As of January 9th, a curfew from 6:00pm to 6:00am is imposed in any "Evacuation Order Zone" or any "Evacuation Warning Zone" 

The order shall not apply to residents living within an evacuation warning zone, who are traveling to or from their places of residence.

School Closures

Childcare Resources

All YMCA locations are offering free childchare for children of first responders, essential workers and children of families who were displaced, evacuated, or lost property, or cannot attend school because their school has temporarily closed. Children must be at least 4 years and 9 months and must be in grades TK through 8th. Space is limited; visit YMCA Childcare for information and to register.

Government Closures

  • LA County Library closed locations: Malibu, and Topanga  libraries
  • Parks and Recreation closed locations are listed at https://parks.lacounty.gov/
  • Angeles Forest: The entire Angeles National Forest is temporarily closed January 8th through January 15th.

Los Angeles County Recovers

The Los Angeles County Recovers page offers guidance on how FEMA and Los Angeles County departments can assist residents and businesses impacted by LA County wildfires. 

FEMA:

LA County Library will host FEMA staff at the locations below to allow residents affected by the wildfires to submit applications for disaster relief. They will be open Sunday, January 12 through Monday, January 13, from 9:00 am-5:00 pm.

Donations & Volunteers

City of Los Angeles Donations: 

The Los Angeles Fire Department has joined local city councils to partner with community organizations to accept in-kind, material donations. Please do not drop off donations at fire stations or shelters as it impacts the critical operations of these frontline responders.

Non-perishable, individually wrapped items and other essential goods to benefit those impacted by the wildfires are being accepted at the following drop-off locations:
