State/Local Health Insurance Information/Counseling

The agency is authorized to conduct enrollment in the Healthy Kids and Medi-Cal insurance programs and Kaiser (when available) for families who have children, age zero to five, who are without health insurance and are not covered by any other social or private insurance programs. Services include state/local health insurance information/counseling. The insurance program is provided by the Children's Health Initiative of Greater Los Angeles, and LA Care Health Plan (see the separate entries for details). The agency assists parents in completing the applications, which are forwarded to the insurers. The agency serves the cities of Altadena, Pasadena and Sierra Madre.
