Opioid Detoxification

The agency provides substance use disorder services for people who live in Los Angeles County. Services include alcohol use disorder counseling, drug use disorder counseling, drug/alcohol testing, medication assisted maintenance treatment for opioid use disorder, opioid detoxification, outpatient drug detoxification and perinatal drug use disorder treatment. There are no geographic restrictions.

The medication assisted maintenance program is for adults who have use opiates for at least one year and have failed two prior treatment programs. the Program includes medically administered doses of methadone, individual and group counseling, mandatory urine tests, and information and referral to community support services.

The program also provides Opioid Detoxification using Suboxone, a medication that requires only a monthly dosing schedule for heroin or pain killer addiction.

The drug testing is provided by Drug Testing USA a sister organization of El Dorado Community Service Center. It provides drug testing, drug and alcohol prevention and intervention program. The agency provides services for employers, parents, schools and individuals. It offers five components that are essential to the workplace: written substance abuse and drug testing policies; supervisory training program; employee education and awareness program; drug testing program; and employee assistance program (counseling).

The perinatal treatment program is offered at the West County Medical site in Long Beach. The program is a methadone maintenance program for pregnant drug abusers. The program includes medically administered doses of methadone, individual and group counseling, parenting techniques, mandatory drug tests, and information and referral to community support services.
