Automobile Donation Programs

The agency's Corporate Office provides administrative support services: accounting, human resources, resource development, public relations, communications, and building administration. Direct services are provided at a variety of sites throughout Los Angeles County; geographic restrictions apply for some services.
The Community Service Centers provide case management, emergency services, and in some cases may provide disaster relief services. Community Centers also provide holiday assistance and educational services. Catholic Charities operates three shelters for homeless women; provides residential youth services, which include Angel's Flight Shelter, a runaway youth shelter; and two family shelters. Catholic Charities also coordinates a variety of human services for older adults, including the Older Adult Services Intervention System (OASIS) program in Ventura. Immigration and Refugee Services helps with refugee resettlement, education and job training for refugees. Pre-employment services are provided through the Archdiocesan Youth Employment Services' (AYE) Workforce Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) for youth and young adults. Emergency services include groceries, food vouchers, holiday baskets at Thanksgiving and Christmas. Financial assistance for utility bill payment is offered for people in crisis; assistance is available until the government vouchers run out. Some centers provide vouchers for emergency shelter, or referral to regional shelters. Other services include budget counseling and assistance in locating community resources for child care, medical, legal and vocational matters. Other services offered at the centers may include ESL classes, job preparation workshops, recreational and sports activities, senior services, cultural activities and child care programs. The services for children and youth, include the ADESTE afterschool care program for children from kindergarten to 8th grade. The daycare sites are located at: El Santo Nino Community Center in Los Angeles, Park School in Alhambra, St. Anastasia School in the Westchester area of Los Angeles, St. Monica in Santa Monica. Catholic Youth Organization (CYO) provides organized athletic competitions in the Archdiocesan Catholic schools. The St. Robert's Community Center in Venice provides professional individual, conjoint, family, and group counseling for people of all ages. The focus of the counseling may be on a wide variety of problems including marital difficulties, premarital issues, child abuse, family communication, parent-child conflict, adjustments of childhood or adolescence or problems related to aging. The agency also has a vehicle donation program where people can call and donate both their operational or non-operational vehicles. The person is given a receipt and the proceeds go to the agency.
