Provider: CALIFORNIA FOUNDATION FOR INDEPENDENT LIVING CENTERS

This is a professional trade association made up of independent living centers throughout California. Services include health related advocacy groups, subject specific public awareness/education and trade associations related to disabilities issues. No direct services are provided for the general public. There are no geographic restrictions.

The Disability Organizing Network trains advocates to work within the independent living centers to raise awareness about disabilities issues, and to network with other similar agencies.

The organization works to educate the public about disabilities issues; it also advocates at the state and federal levels for funding and services for people with disabilities.
