Meal Delivery Volunteer Opportunities

The program provides volunteer opportunities to individuals living in Los Angeles County. Services include meal delivery opportunities. There are no geographic restrictions for volunteers, however, agency services are restricted to the following areas: following zip codes: 90049, 90024, 90025, 90073 and parts of 90034, 90064 and 90077.

The program recruits and coordinates volunteers to drive or assist in the delivery of hot home delivered meals to homebound individuals. Volunteers work in pairs. Although some volunteers have a driver license, vehicle and insurance, this is not a requirement to volunteer at the agency. Some volunteers ride along and help deliver meals.

There are no eligibility requirements, no special training, no language requirement, no post-disaster opportunities, the agency does do some limited background checking, and volunteers are not asked to commit to a set length of service or set number of hours per week.
