Legislative Advocacy (Disabilities Issues)

Easterseals engages in advocacy with local, state and federal governments to ensure full inclusion for people with disabilities and their families. The agency provides a wide range of services for people of all ages who have developmental and physical disabilities and who live in Southern California. Services include: 

• Adult Day Services partners individuals with Life Skills Coaches to gain life skills and participate in community involvement opportunities through regularly scheduled volunteer work.

• Senior Day Service provides services to seniors with memory impairments, Alzheimer's and dementia with daily care and engagement and offering support and respite to families and caregivers while providing assistance and quality care in a comfortable setting.

•  Living Options assist adults to live independently in their own homes or with family members at any level needed, including 24/7 support. 

• Autism Therapy Services are provided to children and adults and offers behavioral, speech, physical and occupational therapy services.

• Child Development Services provide site-based and in-home early education (HeadStart, Early Head Start), daycare and family support services. 

• Employment Services provide one-on-one employment, customized support to help individuals find work suited for their talents and interests.
