Premarital Blood Tests
Provider: NORTHEAST COMMUNITY CLINIC - CALIFORNIA FAMILY CARE CLINIC
The clinic provides health services for people of all ages. Services are targeted, but not restricted, to Spanish-speaking residents of the Northeast Health District. The clinics are not equipped to provide emergency care for acute, life-threatening conditions. There are no geographic restrictions.
The agency provides outpatient health services for uninsured, low-income Los Angeles County residents of all ages, including General Relief recipients. It provides primary general medical care. Applicant's household income must be at or below 134% of federal poverty guidelines, or who are GR recipients.
Services include Community Clinics; Contract Clinics; child health and disability prevention (CHDP) exams; general medical care; immunizations; nutrition education; pre-marital blood tests; prenatal care; STD screening and treatment; and tobacco education. The Women's Health Care program provides colposcopies, gynecological exams, mammograms, pap smears, birth control counseling and contraception.
CHDP provides regular, preventive health assessments and developmental assessments for children from birth to age 21 who are Medi-Cal eligible and for children from birth through age 18 whose family income is less than 200% of the federal poverty level. The check-ups are offered at set intervals and may include the required Head Start or State Preschool and pre-first grade exams.
