Adult Basic Education
Provider: ROWLAND UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT - ADULT AND COMMUNITY EDUCATION
The district administers adult education services for people who primarily live in Rowland Heights, and parts of West Covina, City of Industry, La Puente and Walnut. The education programs include adult basic education, citizenship preparation, ESL, GED preparation and testing and high school diploma. Parenting education classes are also offered for parents with children between the ages of 2 and 5, and a school readiness program for children 0 to 5, is offered. The district also provides fee-based community education classes and short-term interest classes. There are no geographic restrictions.
The program offers child care for children ages 2 1/2 to 10 years while their parents are in class. This service is provided at selected sites.
