Disease/Disability Information (Stuttering)

This is a nationwide self-help program for people of all ages who stutter. Services include referrals to self-help groups, workshops, publications and outreach and education. Membership is not required for service. There are no geographic restrictions.

Referrals are made to self-help facilitators nationwide. Referrals are also available to professionals in the field of stuttering.

Workshops are held throughout the year and are sponsored by the self-help groups. The workshops consist of speakers who are professionals in the field and individuals sharing experiences. There is also an annual convention. The convention and workshops are available to anyone interested in attending.

The outreach and education program provides speakers and information packets for schools, libraries, community groups and professional groups.

The publications consist of books, newsletters, video tapes, pamphlets, events and brochures.
