The program provides foster care services for people of all ages in Los Angeles, Orange, San Bernardino and Riverside counties. Services include foster parent/family recruitment, foster care for dependent children, foster home placement, adoptive family recruitment and adoption evaluation/placement. Children must be placed for foster care through DCFS. There are no geographic restrictions.

The agency recruits, trains, and certifies foster care adoption parents of all ages. Foster families are screened in a process which includes a thorough home study, including fire and safety inspections; fingerprinting for state clearance of criminal and child abuse charges; and a face-to-face interview in the home. Certification requirements for foster families include a sixteen-hour training course in state regulations, communication and appropriate discipline skills.

Fees
There are no fees for foster families. Families bear the cost of health screening, first aid and CPR training fees. Referring agencies pay placement and other support costs.
