Dialectical Behavior Therapy

The center provides victims of crime support for people of all ages in the Long Beach area. Services include crime victim/witness counseling, therapy and support, case management for crime victims and specialized crime victim assistance. Services are provided in-person and by telehealth. Age restrictions apply for some services; there are no geographic restrictions.

Evidence based therapy is available for crime victims and survivors of trauma and violence including sexual assault, hate crimes, assault/battery, domestic violence, community violence, child abuse and traumatic loss. Treatment options include cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma focused cognitive behavioral therapy and dialectical behavior therapy for crime victims. Services are available for individuals, couples, youth and families.

An adult support group called "Creative Coping for Trauma Survivors" focuses on teaching trauma-specific coping skills in a group setting.

Additional support services for adult clients age 18 and older include psychiatric evaluation, follow-up, medication and ongoing case management.
