The city provides transportation services for residents of the city of Cerritos. Services include disabled transportation, mass transit, and senior ride programs. There are age, and residence restrictions for services.

Dial-A-Ride services are provided for the city of Cerritos. The service provides paratransit for older adults, age 55 and older, and for disabled people of any age. Service is curb-to-curb. All buses are wheelchair accessible. The program operates 7 days per week. Services are provided in the cities of Cerritos, La Palma and Artesia (Tier 1) and to approved medial facilities in Bellflower, Downey, La Habra, Lakewood, La Mirada, Norwalk (Tier 2) and to approved medical facilities in Hawaiian Gardens Long Beach and Los Alamitos (Tier 3).

The Cerritos on Wheels (COW) public transportation system provides mass transit within city boundaries for any type of travel, including work, shopping, church or recreation. There are no age restrictions. Buses follow a prescribed route and are identified as Route 1 or Route 2. Information on routes is available on an information line. The service is not available on major holidays. Passengers may now track COW busses using the city's new app which gives their real-time locations and can help minimize wait times.
