Business Assistance Centers

The agency provides business services to people in Southeast Los Angeles County. Services include business assistance centers, customized training for employees, entrepreneurial training, and job retraining. Services are geographically restricted to the cities of Artesia, Bellflower, Cerritos, Downey, Hawaiian Gardens, Lakewood, and Norwalk.

Through the WorkSource California Program, employers and business owners may access a wide variety of business services to help train their workforce; recruit new employees; and receive assistance with business needs such as labor market information, tax credits, and entrepreneurial training. Business team staff provides coordination and consulting services for businesses.

Employer Services include access to the EDD Cal Jobs database; assistance in identifying employment needs; business information such as small business loan information, labor market statistics, tax credits, and enterprise zone information; customized training; on-the-job training; rapid response and plant closure assistance; recruitment, prescreening and referral of qualified applicants; technical assistance in working with special populations.
