The airport is a regional air transport facility which is served by major commercial airlines and local commuter airlines, and houses tenant companies which provide flight-related services for private pilots and their aircraft. There are no geographic restrictions for service.
The airport provides recorded telephone information through a phone line for passengers who wish to arrive or depart from its terminal; the line offers information about parking facilities and conditions and provides telephone numbers for the airlines which offer scheduled service at the airport, including Alaska Airlines, Delta, JetBlue, Seaport, Southwest Airlines, U.S. Airways and United Airlines. The phone line also provides numbers to call for information about bus lines which serve the airport.
In addition, the airport leases space to "master tenant" companies which offer a variety of general aviation services including air charter, aircraft sales and maintenance, refueling, space to tie down private aircraft and flight training.
There is also a toll-free telephone line for registration of public complaints about airport noise. An answering machine records all complaints and staff members mail explanatory literature to complainants who leave their mailing addresses as part of their complaints. If an individual makes repeated complaints, staff contact him or her by telephone and provide explanations of noise conditions or schedule an individual or group meeting on site or in the community to further explain the situation.
