The department provides law enforcement services for the city of San Marino. Services include abandoned vehicle reporting/removal, citizenship and immigration services fingerprinting, crime prevention, emergency protective orders, employment related fingerprinting, law enforcement complaints, municipal police, police reports, temporary restraining orders, and vacation security checks services. The service area is restricted to the city of San Marino.

Livescan fingerprinting is available for adult employment and citizenship/immigration identification and background checks.

Temporary restraining order assistance is provided on a short term (72 hrs.), emergency basis only. Regular TROs must be applied for at a Superior Court location.

Application Procedure
In an emergency, call 9-1-1. Call or walk in for non-emergency services or for information. Police reports may be requested in person; only the victim or authorized representative may obtain a copy; reports are available for release from 24 hours to 10 days after filing.
Fees
The fee for vacation security checks is $5 per day. Fingerprinting fees are $20; additional DOJ and FBI fees may apply. Copies of approved releasable reports is $20. There are no fees for other services.
