AIDS/HIV Clinics (Youth)

Provider: CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL LOS ANGELES

The hospital provides HIV/AIDS services for youth and young adults. Services include AIDS screening and treatment and County contract clinic services for AIDS/HIV patients. There are no geographic restrictions.

The Family Health Center provides AIDS screening for youth ages 13 through 24. The HIV/AIDS test is not anonymous and is most appropriate for individuals who want to be treated at the hospital if they test positive. Clients who test positive are counseled by a social worker and may be referred for related services or treatment to other parts of the hospital or other agencies. The hospital provides AIDS treatment and case management to individuals age 23 and younger.

The center enrolls patients for the AIDS Drug Assistance Program (ADAP), which provides FDA-approved HIV-related drugs at little or no cost to those who are eligible; call for more information.
