The EMPOWER Weight Management Clinic (Energy Management for Personalized Weight Reduction) provides weight management programs for obese children and adolescents ages 2 to 17 and obese young adults ages 18 to 21 and their families who live in Los Angeles County. Services include weight management. There are no geographic restrictions.
The program provides clinical services, health education and resources related to the prevention and treatment of childhood obesity. The clinic provides a multidisciplinary team which includes a behavioral health specialist, dietician, physician, physical therapist and occupational therapist. The team works together to provide an individualized plan to achieve a healthy weight. The program is design to support the entire family.

Application Procedure
A referral from a primary or family doctor is required. The health care provider fills out the referral form and faxes it to the clinic.
Fees
Insurance may be accepted by PPO, HMO, straight Medi-Cal and California Children's Services.
