Transitional Housing/Shelter (Homeless Families)

Provider: FAMILY PROMISE OF SANTA CLARITA VALLEY

The agency provides homeless support services for homeless families in the Santa Clarita Valley. Services include transitional housing/shelter only; this is NOT an emergency shelter. Services are targeted to homeless families with children under 18 years of age including single parents and pregnant women with no other children.

The agency DOES NOT PROVIDE emergency shelter, same day shelter, motel vouchers, financial assistance or rental assistance. Motel stays are only available based on available funding. 

Families must meet HUD income limits to be eligible. Families may stay in the program for 30 to 90 days, must pass background check, and drug test. This is NOT an emergency shelter. Last residence must be in Santa Clarita or actively homeless in Santa Clarita.

Application Procedure
Call to apply; an appointment is required. Calls made after regular business hours will be returned the following day during regular business hours. ID, such as a Social Security card, state drivers license, or state identification card; vaccination papers for all children; and proof of income in the form of pay stubs, or proof of TANF and SSI, are required.
