The housing authority provides housing services for citizens of Compton. Services include Section 8 vouchers and Section 8 certificates for low-income residents, including older adults, people with disabilities and low-income families with children. Services are restricted to residents of Compton.

Application Procedure
The City of Compton is no longer accepting new applications for Section 8, only transfers from other city housing departments. The Housing Authority lobby is not open to the public; this office accepts phone calls, email and US mail only.
Fees
There are no fees to apply. Section 8 recipients pay 30% of their income for rent.
