Psychiatric Case Management
Provider: CHILD AND FAMILY CENTER
The agency provides mental health services for children who live in the Santa Clarita Valley area. Services include diagnostic services and outpatient mental heath treatment services for youth, ages 3 to 18 years of age who are emotionally or behaviorally impaired. The agency also provides wraparound facilitation/community services for referred youth. Services are restricted to residents of the Santa Clarita Valley.
Mental health services include Developmental Assessment to determine level of functioning and needs, including ADHD assessment; individual counseling for children and adolescents. Counseling/therapy, including behavior modification therapy is available to serve a wide range of concerns including ADHD, hostile behaviors, temper tantrums, school difficulties, depression, anxiety, parenting problems, and marital distress.
Medi-Cal eligible youth, 0 to 18 years of age, may receive developmental assessment services and behavior modification therapy through the CHDP program.
The Wraparound facilitation/community support program is provided for court-referred youth in probation or in DCFS child abuse or foster care programs. Wraparound is conducted by a multi-displinary team consisting of a social worker case manager, a therapist and a parent "Partner". Sessions are conducted in the home and may involve just the child or the whole family as needed. The program accepts youth from age 8 to 18, and may continue for one year or longer. The service area is L A County SPA 2.
The center provides services for families of children with Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). Services include clinical evaluation and treatment of ADHD. Psychiatric services, case management, and medication management is available for children age three to 18.
