Cultural Awareness Training (Native American Community)

Provider: LOS ANGELES CITY / COUNTY AMERICAN INDIAN COMMISSION

The agency provides community action group services on behalf of American Indians in Los Angeles City and Los Angeles County. Services include cultural awareness training, ethnic group advocacy, group advocacy, and specialized information and referral. There are no geographic restrictions.

    Information and referral regarding resources for American Indians, cultural awareness programs for groups and limited technical assistance for American Indian groups are available.

  The commission also identifies the needs of local American Indian communities and makes reports and recommendations to Los Angeles City and Los Angeles County governments for planning purposes.

   Monthly meetings are open to the public and are held at the Hall of Administration.
