Social Skills Training
Provider: LOS ANGELES UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT - MENTAL HEALTH CENTER - SAN PEDRO
The center provides mental health services for LAUSD students ages 4 to 18 and their families who live in the LAUSD ESC South, who have been referred by their own school because of emotional and behavioral problems which affect their school performance. Services include family counseling, individual counseling, parenting skills development, and social skills training. After intake/assessment, the center formulates a treatment plan which involves student, family and school personnel to work together to implement it. Services are restricted to students from schools in ESC South.
