Senior Ride Programs
Provider: CITY OF LAKEWOOD DASH TRANSIT
The program provides transportation services for seniors age 60 and older who do not have personal transportation and for people of any age who with a qualifying disability who are residents of Lakewood. Geographic restrictions apply.
Transportation is available to any destination in Lakewood for any type of trip including medical appointments, educational or recreational activities, shopping and visits to friends and family. Destinations outside of Lakewood which are also served by the program include medical, educational and social service destinations within a pre-determined area. Six buses equipped with wheelchair lifts and six mini-vans are used to provide the service.
Drivers cannot assist passengers from home to curb, and will toot horn to show arrival. Passengers can be attended by an assisting companion; please let the dispatcher know if a companion will accompany you when the reservation is made. Please call the office to cancel your reservation if the ride is not needed.

Application Procedure
Call the intake number or visit City Hall for an application; disabled applicants are asked to provide a doctor's verification for eligibility if they are under the age of 60. Call the same number to make trip reservations seven calendar days in advance. Same-day reservations are accepted based on availability. Standing appointments are not allowed; a separate reservation must be made for each desired ride.

Reservations can be made Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 4:45pm; cancellations are made from 7:30am to 8:30am. Transportation services are available Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 4:00pm.
