Occasional Emergency Food Assistance

The program provides emergency food for people who live in El Segundo, Hawthorne, Inglewood, Lawndale, and Los Angeles zip codes 90001, 90002, 90003, 90006, 90007, 90008, 90011, 90013, 90016, 90018, 90019, 90037, 90043, 90044, 90045, 90047, 90056, 90059, 90061, 90062, 90245, 90247, 90249, 90250, 90260, 90293, 90301, 90302, 90303, 90304 and 90305. service includes occasional emergency food assistance. Services are restricted to El Segundo, Hawthorne, Inglewood, Lawndale and Los Angeles zip codes 90001, 90002, 90003, 90006, 90007, 90008, 90011, 90013, 90016, 90018, 90019, 90037, 90043, 90044, 90045, 90047, 90056, 90059, 90061, 90062, 90245, 90247, 90249, 90250, 90260, 90293, 90301, 90302, 90303, 90304 and 90305 residents.

The program provides a two-day supply of groceries which contains canned food and packaged dried goods as well as fresh fruit and other produce. Powdered milk is occasionally available. The amount of food varies with family size but is enough to last approximately two days. Special food bags are provided to the homeless which require little or no cooking.
