Transitional Housing/Shelter (Homeless Families)

Provider: HOME AGAIN LOS ANGELES

The agency provides homeless support services for homeless families in the San Fernando Valley area. Services include case/care management and transitional housing. The agency does not provide emergency shelter. There are no geographic restrictions.

The agency recruits and maintains a network of host churches. Families are housed for one week at a time at participating host churches where they eat, sleep, and socialize together. A van transports families daily to and from the Day Center where a case manager assists with employment, housing, and social services.

The Day Center also provides a mailing address, and shower and laundry facilities.

The agency recruits volunteers of all ages to assist with hospitality, cooking, homework, fund raising, and other guest events. Unused personal items and gently used household goods, office supplies, and furniture are accepted for donation.
