Tutoring Services (Homeless Youth)

The program provides education services for homeless youth, kindergarten through 12th grade, who live in Los Angeles, Orange, San Bernardino, Santa Barbara and Ventura Counties. Services include homework assistance and schoolwork phone support as well as tutorial services. Services are mobile and are provided at client's location; there are no geographic restrictions.

Homework assistance is provided via phone or in person. Tutorial services are provided on a one-on-one basis for youth grades K through 12 who may be homeless and living with their families or on their own at a shelter, motel, auto, or on the street. Sessions are typically one hour in length. After enrollment, a toll free number is provided for material support in the form of backpacks, school clothing and other school supplies as well as retrieving lost paperwork and school assignments. Assistance with transportation may also be given to students.
