Financial Literacy Training

The agency provides money management services for individuals who have already filed for bankruptcy in the United States. Services include financial management workshops and internet courses. There are no geographic restrictions.

The program offers the second, court-mandated course for individuals who are going through the bankruptcy process. The financial management course covers various topics including monthly budgeting, starting a savings account and other investments, purchasing insurance and using credit cards.

The course has been approved by the Department of Justice and is available via the internet and telephone. After completing the course, individuals will receive a certificate which is filed with the court.
