Medical Equipment/Supplies

The agency provides medical equipment and supplies for people with disabilities throughout California. Services include assistive technology equipment loan, assistive technology information, assistive technology equipment listing services, medical equipment/supplies, medical equipment/assistive technology donation programs, and mobility aids for people of all ages throughout the State of California. There are no geographic restrictions.

The AT Network provides telephone information and referral and public education on assistive technology issues. Staff are knowledgeable about a variety of devices and the resources to obtain such tools as wheelchairs, ramps, amplified telephones, computer screen readers, dressing aids, modified vehicles and more. The website provides a directory of services for assistive technology products and services.

The organization operates a Device Lending and Demonstration Center (formerly Device Lending Library) for assistive technology devices and equipment throughout the state, in which a person may try out a type of equipment to see if it would be suitable for their needs. The loan of the equipment is for 30 days, and is free. People may also donate used equipment, including manual or power wheelchairs, shower chairs, patient lifts, walkers, scooters and hospital beds; assistive reachers, magnifiers, switches and remotes; and high-techo communication devices like computers, tablets or cell phones.
