The agency provides administrative services to agencies throughout the state of California. Services include administrative entities and state government information lines. State government information line services are restricted to state, federal, and local agencies; legislators; law enforcement agencies; community based organizations; and other consumer protection stakeholders that conduct immediate business with the CA State Department of Consumer Affairs.
The interagency state government information line telephone number should never be given to the public.
The line will allow entities that conduct business with the DCA to by-pass the general assistance telephone queue.
Calling this line is appropriate when the stakeholder needs immediate assistance. The line can assist individuals who don't know who to call; need help getting through to a specific person, unit, board or bureau; can not find web-based information; need help looking up a license or discipinlary action; want to report a problem or file a complaint; need specific information; need to order publications; or, want to request a public speaker.
