Family Maintenance/Reunification

The agency provides family life education services for families in Los Angeles county. Services include family maintenance/reunification, parenting skills classes, co-parenting classes, parental visitation monitoring, monitored child visitation exchanges and parent support groups. Services are available for court-ordered and self-referred individuals. There are no geographic restrictions.

Parental visitation monitoring is available for a maximum of 16 weeks; visits may be no longer than two hours weekly. Online visits are available. Reports are sent directly to the court before the hearing date.

Parent/child reunification is available for court-ordered parents, including those with a restraining order in place.

Parenting classes are available in 16 week and 26 week sessions; separate programs focus co-parenting and parenting of adolescents. A certificate of completion is provided at the end of the sessions; staff may provide additional verification to the courts by request.
