Adult Basic Education

The program provides adult education for individuals in Los Angeles County. Services include adult basic education, adult high school diploma programs, adult literacy programs, citizenship education, computer and related technology classes, community adult schools, English as a Second Language and GED/high school equivalency test instruction. There are no geographic restrictions.

The school provides a wide range of adult education classes including classes in basic computer skills, fine arts, crafts, music, physical fitness classes and sports. It also provides academic classes including adult basic education, adult literacy classes, citizenship classes, GED test preparation, ESL classes, TOEFL preparation and courses that lead to a high school diploma.

The adult literacy program includes individualized tutoring as well as classroom instruction. For the individualized tutoring, students meet with a tutor once or twice a week for about 1.5 hours. Classes are ongoing.
