Literacy Volunteer Opportunities
Provider: CULVER CITY UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT - ADULT SCHOOL
The program provides volunteer opportunities for individuals in Los Angeles County. Services include literacy volunteer opportunities. There are no geographic restrictions.
The literacy program accepts adults, 18 years and older, to become one-on-one tutors for adult learners. No previous experience is necessary but volunteers are required to attend an orientation meeting and then must register for a 12-hour Tutor Workshop. There is a requirement of a minimum of 6 months of volunteer service and most tutors meet with adult learners twice a week for 1.5 hours per session.
