Youth Shelters
Provider: CASA YOUTH SHELTER
The agency provides a shelter for runaway youth age 12 to 17 who are in Los Angeles or Orange Counties. The shelter is unable to accommodate youth who have physical disabilities, substance abuse problems or who are violent or mentally ill. Youth may remain in the shelter up to 14 days. There are no geographic restrictions.
The shelter operates a highly-structured program and requires residents to participate in both individual and family counseling and development of short and long-range plans. Secondary services for shelter residents include individual and family counseling.
