Job Search/Placement
Provider: LONG BEACH UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT - SCHOOL FOR ADULTS
The program provides employment services and job training for single parents and TANF recipients who live in the greater Long Beach area. Services include career counseling, prejob guidance, job search/placement services, job training, vocational assessment and welfare recipient employment programs. There are income restrictions and eligibility requirements, however, there are no geographic restrictions.
The program provides assessment of personal skills and goals; career counseling and exploration of traditional and non-traditional careers for women; opportunities for training and specific skills development; workshops on job readiness skills, including resume writing and interview techniques; and case management for other needed community resources.
