Provider: LONG BEACH COMMUNITY IMPROVEMENT LEAGUE CHILD DEVELOPMENT CENTER
The center provides child care for low-income families in the Long Beach and Signal Hill areas. Services include day care for children, age two to five; extended day care for children, ages 5 through 12; and State preschool for children ages 3 to 5. Eligibility is based on income and need as established by the California Department of Education (CDE). The center accepts children on a variety of subsidized programs. There are limited full-pay slots available for children who do not meet the CDE eligibility criteria. There are no geographic restrictions.
The State preschool program is offered in the morning and afternoon.
The center provides developmentally appropriate educational experiences for 3 to 5 year old children and the enrichment programs for school age children, ages 5 to 12. A well-balanced fully subsidized nutrition program including breakfast, lunch, and snacks is provided for all children.
