Occasional Emergency Food Assistance
Provider: CATHOLIC CHARITIES OF LOS ANGELES - SAN JUAN DIEGO CENTER
The program provides emergency food to individuals, couples and families who are in the San Gabriel Valley area, including people who are homeless or who receive public assistance. To be eligible, people must meet low income guidelines and must be willing to work with staff to become more self-sufficient. People may apply for assistance more than once. There are no geographic restrictions.
People receive a bag of canned and dry goods as well as bread. Fresh fruit and vegetables are distributed every Monday during food distribution hours. The amount provided is usually enough to last from three to five days. These services are available according to funding.
