Preschools

The agency provides early childhood education for children and their families who live in Los Angeles County. Services include preschools and parent/child activity groups. Services are targeted, but not restricted to South Bay residents.

The agency provides preschool services for children, ages 3 through 5, whose parents attend English as a Second Language (ESL) classes at the agency's adult school. Parents enrolled in the agency's ESL classes usually attend ESL classes four days a week; on the fifth day they work in the agency preschool. There are both morning and afternoon sessions available. Staff includes a teacher and two bilingual aides. The program is a State-authorized preschool.

There are separate parent/child activity programs for families with infants, birth to age 2, and for those with toddlers, 2 1/2 to 5 years of age. There is also a program for pre-K students. Parents attend one, two, three or five days per week. A term is 11 weeks, and people may enroll each term if space is available. The school year runs September through June. There is also a six-week summer session.
