Modern Dance Instruction
Provider: YMCA OF METROPOLITAN LOS ANGELES - WEINGART WELLNESS AND AQUATIC CENTER
The program provides recreational and physical fitness activities for people of all ages who live in the South Central Los Angeles area. There are no geographic restrictions.
Services include year-round recreational and instructional swimming for all ages, parent/child pool movement programs for children age six months to five years, aquatic exercise and seniorcise, and a water exercise and swim program for older adults.
Physical fitness activities include ballet and modern dance, aerobics, senior fitness and karate; basketball, volleyball, racquetball and handball instruction; a complete fitness center is also available.
Special interest programs include yoga and a variety of recreational and educational youth leadership programs for junior and senior high school students. Field trips, special holiday activities, and a variety of summer day, resident and caravan camping programs are offered. A week-long residential camp is available in the summer.

Application Procedure
Call or walk in for service. Membership is required for participation in activities and daily participation passes are available for non-members. Call or apply online for residential camp.
Fees
Membership fees vary with age and family composition. There are fixed fees for different activities; non-members participate for an additional fee. There are fixed fees for all camping programs; financial aid may be available.
