General Medical Care

The clinics provide health services for low-income people who live in Los Angeles. Services include administrative entities, asthma clinics, child health and disability prevention exams (CHDP), childbirth education, childhood immunizations, community clinics, contract clinics, dental care, diabetes management clinics, disease specific treatment, eye care, general medical care, health/disability related support groups for pregnant teens, hearing screening, immunizations, obstetrics/gynecology, optometry, pediatrics, pregnancy testing, prenatal care, pro-life counseling, tuberculosis screening for children and vision screening. The clinics participate in the L A County contract clinics program. There are no geographic restrictions.
The clinics are also certified to provide the CHDP (Child Health and Disability Prevention Program) physical exams for children who are entering first grade and general medical care including TB tests and immunizations for children of low income families. CHDP provides regular, preventive health assessments and developmental assessments for children from birth to age 21 who are Medi-Cal eligible and for children from birth through age 18 whose family income is less than 200% of the federal poverty level. The check-ups are offered at set intervals and may include the required Head Start or State Preschool and pre-first grade exams.
Dental services include examinations and consultations, x-rays, cleaning, and a full range of dental services for adults and children.
Optometry services include vision screening, glasses and lenses.
The clinics provide bus fare/taxi transportation to and from appointments when medically indicated for people who live within a 10 mile radius of the clinics.
