Transitional Housing/Shelter (Single Parent Families Headed by Fathers)

Special programs and facilities are available for children to help with homework and play activities. The program also assists residents with their job search and education as well as their search for housing. Counseling, parenting classes, anger management and financial counseling are included in the program. Residents are required to save a majority of their income while in the program.

Application Procedure
A referral from a Family Solutions Center (FSC) site is required for all sites.
When space is available, case managers call applicants for an initial phone interview, followed by a face-to-face interview. The process can take up to two weeks; ID and marriage license are required at the time of the interview. A police background check and health screening are performed prior to admission into the program.
