Volunteer Opportunities

The department provides volunteer opportunities for adults age 18 and older, including county employees and the general public, in Los Angeles County. There are no geographic restrictions.
Individuals may register to become a volunteer with participating county departments, and agencies and non-profit organizations that are partnered with Los Angeles County. Registrants are contacted directly about volunteer opportunities they may be eligible for.
Opportunities vary and may be in service areas including animal services, justice and legal, senior services, women's services, arts and culture, health and mental health, crisis support, library services, veterans services, children and youth services, homeless and housing, disaster relief, and many more.
