Social Clubs/Events

The society provides cultural awareness for Japanese and Asians/Pacific Islanders of all ages in Los Angeles. Services include ethnic/cultural festivals, leadership development, pastoral counseling, premarital counseling, religious activities, social clubs/events, and specialized information and referral. There are no geographic restrictions.

The society aids inter-denominational Christian churches and individuals in outreach activities to inform people about Jesus Christ; the primary focus of the effort is on Asian-American Christian churches. It offers Christian literature and films, and outreach programs which target people of different ages.

In addition, it conducts programs on college campuses on the West Coast, and sponsors missionary work in Japan and South America.

The society also offers premarital counseling for Christians of Asian heritage and sponsors two-week Christian summer conferences for Asian-American people of all ages. One-week sessions are available for people age 12 and older who have developmental or physical disabilities.

Older adult services include recreational activities; seminars on health and finances; agency sponsored local and travel tours with special rates; and referral for emergency services for seniors experiencing difficulties. The agency will refer seniors who need food or other emergency services to a network of over 100 churches affiliated with the society.
